Professor Munish Puri is the Riddet-Ag-Research Chair in Alternative Proteins at the Riddet Institute, Massey University. An internationally recognised industrial biotechnologist, he ranks among Australia’s top researchers in his field, advancing sustainable bioprocessing solutions for food innovation.

Munish leads research in cellular manufacturing, precision fermentation, and metabolic engineering to create functional and novel foods. His mission is to transform underutilised resources into cost-effective, nutritious alternatives that support global sustainability, food security, and the future of the alternative protein industry.
