BIOGRAPHY

Giorgio Cavigiolio is the founder of forest yummy, a company focused on creating plant-based meat alternatives using natural, low-impact ingredients from forest-centered agriculture. He launched the company in 2024, combining his passion for sustainability and innovation in food systems with a focus on environmentally friendly sourcing. 

Giorgio previously led a research lab at UCSF Benioff children’s hospital Oakland from 2009 to 2020, where he studied lipoprotein structure and function. His shift from biochemistry to alternative proteins reflects a broader mission to address environmental challenges through food innovation.
